I am sorry but the Spanish localization of the viewer is significantly lacking, and will at best be spotwise.

To change langue open Preferences, General, and select language from the drop-down menu.
hi Geir, thanks for your effort in maintaining and developing Dayturn. I'm running on a Mac and will be increasingly using it, for now in testing but hopefully more and more. If you have specific tests to do, please feel free to ask.

Also Tampa asked me to mention that the password reset for this forum is broken. He had no other way, it seems, to tell you.

Kind regards

Hi, in regard to Tampa's password reset, the links works and mail as far as I can test it, so there must be something his end blocking the email. It is sent and leaves my ISPs SMTP. It might be there is block on the ISP domain which is altibox.no which might be seen by some mail systems as the sender and not my dayturn.com domain which has a valid SSL certificate on it.

With regard to testing the viewer, there is a set of issues when it comes to VAR support and HG support (particularly for the map) which needs to be sorted. As far as the rest of the functionality I "think" it works OK for OpenSim, but it is always good to get confirmation. Obviously I only have a limited set of machines to test on, so any input on how it performs on any combination of macOS and hardware is welcome.

As we come closer to the release of macOS 10.15 (Catalina) issues might pop up in the last minute, even if it seems to work OK in the current developer betas. There are some more fundamental issues with the code (which does not compile on Xcode 11), but in reality they can only be fixed by Linden Lab who have the resources needed to be thrown at it, if they at all want a viewer running on the Mac.

I am glad you have found it useful so far. It started out of frustration with the viewers frequent crashes on 10.11 and 10.12, but with the help of Apple Software Engineering it finally became reasonable stable in 10.12.3 with further improvements in 10.12.6.

Cheers,
Geir

Hi Geir, since I work almost exclusively in varsims (and ubODE) I probably have some testing I can do. If I report bugs I will be pretty specific and especially if I can reproduce them. I have done software development in my career although right now I am on the other side, devops and management.

I let Tampa know your response. Since his email and my email are completely different servers, I can't comment further.

Best

Paul
