Dayturn SL preview for macOS

Dayturn SL preview for macOS Build 50994

This build has been rebuilt with Xcode 14 (was Xcode 13.5.1) for better compatibility with the latest macOS updates and Apple hardware.

It also adds optimizations and adjustments to functionality and menus. In addition the majority of the fixes and functionality changes in SL release viewer 6.6.3 has been added, including the ability to show a ground plane when uploading a rigged character.

The viewer provided as is. It is both signed and notarized with my Apple Developer ID.

NOTE: If you have the Opensim version of Dayturn installed, you should not install this version, as it will reset your viewer graphics settings and not work in Opensim at all at this current time.
This build is a brush up of some functionality and menu items lost in the previous build, in addition to adding back some of the snappiness lost.

I find this build performs better on Intel based Macs compared to any previous builds.

Lots of mechanics going on in this update:
  • Build scripts largely moved from python 2.7 to python 3
  • The new profile floater introduced in LL SecondLife viewer 6.6.3 has been added
  • All the changes from the LL secondLife 6.0 performance viewer has been added
The changes from the performance viewer means the viewer is not quite as snappy as it was before in many scenes, but it performs quite a lot better when there are many avatars in the scene.

Not all features are added back because of underlying changes from the performance viewer code. There is also yet a number of tricks up the sleve to add back some of the snappiness lost.

I am still not convinced the new profile floater is a step forward, so it might be reverted at some stage...

This build has new functionality from the SecondLife 6.6.2 viewer to hide the world map side bar. In addition there are updates from the same viewer release for LOD / occtree that will improve cases of objects in-world erroneously becoming invisible or fluctuating back and forth between LOD versions

This build is mainly internal changes, but noticeable there are a couple reverts of SL developed changes; one that made it impossible to type characters with diacritical marks on macOS, the other caused erratic camera positioning when editing avatar shape.

This build is a rollup of the changes in the SecondLife Viewer 6.6.1 release. There is no new functionality in this update, but many of the libraries are update, including one that will improve performance in decompressing data sent to the viewer from the simulator.

In the wake of Premium Plus, this build adds the Membership menu item to the Avatar menu, in addition to add My Linden Home menu item and make sure the My Land Holdings menu item works on the World menu.

Otherwise there are only a few adjustments (lots of back and forth with the code as it turns out the LL Performance viewer changes makes this viewer perform worse).
