From version 2.4.1 the Dayturn viewer for macOS are notarized with Apple for compatibility with macOS 10.14.x and 10.15.x.
The notarization process gives a guarantee to the user that an application is from a developer known by Apple, and that the application and installer image has not been altered since it was created by the developer.
In a developer note issued by Apple just before Christmas, developers have been notified that an upcoming release of macOS will block all applications not notarized from running on that version of the system unless system security is completely turned off.
Notarized applications are only relevant to macOS 10.14.x and 10.15.x. Earlier versions do not have support for it, and applications will run as before.
