group in opensim on Raspberry Pi 4

Hello, I'm Draconis
I have been on OpenSim for many years, but I am new to Raspberry PI 4.
I have a small project to make a grid with 1 PC and some raspberry Pi 4. For the moment I am doing tests about OpenSim on Raspberry. thanks to you, it works really well, except for groups. I can not activate groups and in particular create a group.
I tried all the modification possibilities in OpenSim.ini. Either the simulation crashes, or during connection the simulation refuses the avatar.
would you have a solution for me ? 🙏
Have a nice evening

I am not sure which version of opensim you have installed, as the one I provided is a bit outdated and lacking in functionality compared to the current 0.9.2 development branch which both compiles and runs on the PI 4.

The only thing you need to do is to substitute my ARM libraries and config files which are in the PI section of Resources.

Note that these libs are only compiled 32-bit for now lacking a fully functioning 64-bit mono on ARM.

Good evening,
Indeed the version I took here is, it seems to me, the 0.8.2.0 Dev, a bit old. for information i use the official raspberry' os in 32 bit.
So what I understand is that I just need to substitute by your ARM libraries and config files which are in the PI section of Resources. In a normal version of opensim in 0.9.0 for example.
Anyway I would like once again to tell you how it works really well, I am impressed with the stability and the functioning of opensim on Raspberry. It is thanks to your work that this is possible.
As it is almost my birthday, I requested another raspberry pi 4b to be able to start my grid project. In the meantime I will make the modifications that you advise me. I will give you a feedback on my experience.

Again, thank you very much👏👏

It can't just be any 0.9.x version, but must be one built from the 0.9.2 dev branch since about a year ago as there were specific changes made to the 0.9.2 to make it run on ARM. Others have taken the current OSGrid version (which is 0.9.2 dev) and substituted my libs to make it run on OSgrid.

I agree wit runs very stable and surprisingly performant on the PI 4, so I am quite happy with it myself.

You can enable the 64-bit kernel on the 32-bit Raspbian OS, as it will give you better IO performance – particularly if you run from a USB stick or better an SSD and not the SD card.

Enjoy your upcoming birthday, and I hope you get another PI 4 to have fun with! :)

Hello Geir,
Feedback on the subject in order to be able to close it.
First of all I wanted to thank you for your answers.
I made a big mistake in my question. In fact I had not installed your "opensim on PI" version which works with OpenSim 0.9.1.0 Xmir dev, but the "Raspberry-Sim-Master" version which works with OpenSim 0.8.2.0 Dev. 😓
So I did a clean install with "OpenSim on PI" and group creation works fine.

Thak u and have a good day :)
