Resolved My Suitcase Missing

It works in the macOS version but it looks like there are some quite old changes that have not been applied to the Windows version at the time it was still Kokua, so I will add that and see if it fix the issue.

Oh that would be great!!! Let me know when its available to test.. I will let everyone know over at Mewe so they can grab the new version

I have checked older version all the way back to Kokua for Windows where it was first implemented in 2015, and I cannot fint it has ever worked on Windows.
I did not maintain the Windows code at that time, and since it works flawlessly on macOS since that time it did not occur to me it wasn't working – particularly as the code is identical on all the important locations. Very obscure and frustrating.

When I log on to OSGrid with this build, the My Suitcase folder is present.
It also seems to be a bit per-grid dependent, but I don't think OSGrid have converted their database to type 100, so it is just seen as a normal folder and not a system folder.

I did double check to make sure the folder was 100 in the database and it was.. I did HG to osgrid and the folder didnt appear but im sure you used a local avi for that? I used it way back when but i cant remember if it did work or now.

Yes, you have to log on to OSG.
The suitcase you see on HG is a direct link back to the home grid, so if it does not appear there, it will not appear on another grid you HG transfer to.

My Inventory is HG Inventory and affects all grid's with HG Asset.
If HG Inventory is activated in OpenSimulator this will be displayed.
I have activated this in OpenSim 0.9.1.0.1118 and it will not be displayed.
The My Inventory directory stores all assets from foreign grids.

As I said, it works on the macOS version (and has since 2015), so I am struggling to find out why it does not work on Windows as the code is identical.

Please do not mess with old versions.
Today My Suitcase is HG Asset and is 0.8.0+ in all current OpenSimulators.
Please activate in your Robust.HG.ini HG asset and use Firestorm and Dayturn to compare.
Then come to me secondlife: // http | !! openmanniland.de | 8002 + Home and copy one of my castles.
You'll see it appears in My Suitcase, but it just does not appear in Dayturn.

Ups My Inventory = My Suitcase I confused words.

As I told you, it WORKS in the macOS version. There is no point testing it on Windows till I have sorted out the obscure code path that prevents it from working. :)

I am also not seeing My Suitcase but it does show up in Singularity, so something is up thank you for looking into this!

Hi Tia.. I was talking with the developers and they did find it was broken on the widows version and they are looking into it. They are hoping to have a fix soon for it. The mac Version does work though.

I am the "developers", so yes, you talk with me here :)

I am still digging in to it, and fixing other issues / preparing for the 64-bit build along the way.

Still not resolved for 1.4.8 Windows version.
It is most likely down to 32-bit libraries and may never be resolved for these builds. Pressing on to get the 64-bit replacement done.

macOS versions of the viewer is in the clear, where it works as expected.

Firstly Geir, you`re doing a wonderful job so far!
The My Suitcase issue I have found a way to get it in view...its a painful one, but works. Go to the settings at base of Inventory, Click Show Filters and then Show All Folders...…….My suitcase is then listed amongst all the others

Thanks, that was useful. I have long suspected it had to do with filtering being the reason for all the filter and inventory floater cleanup in 1.4.8 without getting fully to the bottom of it.

On the macOS version only the Received Items folder will appear if you click that chose, but on the Windows version both Received Items and My Suitcase becomes visible. - I'll get it sorted.

If you read up, it has been working on the macOS version since 2015 with the same code as the Windows version, so it is very hard to debug why it fails on Windows.

There is a workaround mentioned above where you can set the inventory filter to show all folder, but it is not persistent across logins. But it helps in a pinch for Windows users.
