Noob on a Pi 4 8gb wanting to run Opensim

I received my brand new Pi 4 8gb yesterday and after putting it together, and connecting it up, it worked straight up, and updated itself.

Now I am rather keen to use it to run a region or two.

I am very new to the Raspbian OS, and also to Linux in general.

Is there a basic guide to show me how to download, and configure Opensim onto the Pi 4 ?
I have read a few posts on the forums here, and have to admit, I am out of my depth, but I still want to try this. Running my sims on sqlite is fine for me, as I don't intend to have sims full of scripts and builds (I have other sims for that).
I gather I may have to install something like Wine, or is there a native Raspbian build of Opensim somewhere.
And most importantly, a lot of my researching on other sites has turned up howto's and information, that is very dated, and I am sure that they do not apply to my new Pi 4.

What you first do is install mono on your PI. Use the instructions for Raspian 10 here: https://www.mono-project.com/download/stable/#download-lin-raspbian. Do not install the default mono that comes with Raspbian, as that will give you an outdated 5.8.x version.

Usually I would recommend downloading the development branch of Opensim (0.9.2) dev, compile it with mono, replace some of the libraries with the ones I have provided here: https://www.dayturn.com/viewer/index.php?resources/library-files-for-opensim-compiled-for-arm.82/

and then follow the instructions for installing and starting the Linux version of OpenSim.

If you feel compiling your own is too much to chew on, you can alternatively install the now somewhat dated version I have provided here: https://www.dayturn.com/viewer/inde...ble-opensim-for-the-pi-update-8-mar-2020.142/

Unzip the archive and again follow the Linux instructions to start it up. There is a Readme.MD file in the package you downloaded.

I'll see if I can provide a OpenSim 0.9.2 dev archive for the PI over the next few days.

If you want to compile your own, you should install mono-complete and not mono-devel.

I will install mono-complete, and then use the version of opensim you have provided, just to get things running, so I can then experiment and get to know how things work. I can easily install opensim on Windows10, but now I need to do this, as I rather look forward to be able to leave the Pi 4 on 24/7 and my sim/sims available all the time. I will attempt this in the next few days, and will report back.
