It looks like Apple has removed the NVIDIA drivers for the "Kepler" based graphic chip in the macOS Monterey 12.5 update.
While it is not very likely the viewer runs on any machines with these drivers as they are no longer in official support of Monterey, but adventurous users may have upgraded their machines using the OpenCore Legacy Patcher.

Affected models are:
  • MacBookPro9,1
  • MacBookPro10,1
  • MacBookPro11,3
  • iMac13,x (units with dGPUs)
  • iMac14,x (units with dGPUs)
Earlier models with user upgradable graphics cards may also be affected. For some of these systems adding a graphics card that supports Metal acceleration will make it possible to upgrade to 12.5.
